At LL Installations, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our employees and subcontractors.
This privacy policy applies to LL Installations, and covers all personal information we collect about our employees and subcontractors. When we talk about "personal information", we use the definition provided by the Federal Privacy Act -
"Personal information" means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can be reasonably ascertained, from the information or opinion.
For the purposes of this statement,
"Arrive at Work" means that you arrive at work, and using the LL Installations app, you push the "Arrive at Work" button, answer the subsequent questions, and submit this information to us, causing your work status as displayed by the LL Installations app to change to "You are currently at work."
"Leave Work" means that you are ready to leave work, and using the LL Installations app, you push the "Leave Work" button, answer the subsequent questions, and submit this information to us, causing your work status as displayed by the LL Installations app to change to "You are not at work."
"At Work" means the time from (and including) the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Arrive at Work", up to and including the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Leave Work". During this time, if you open the LL Installations app to it's main screen, the app will indicate that "You are currently at work."
"Not at Work" means the time from the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Leave Work", up to the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Arrive at Work". During this time, if you open the LL Installations app to it's main screen, the app will indicate that "You are not at work." "Not at Work" also includes the time before the first time that you perform a "Arrive at Work".
"Start Travelling" means that you are about to commence a journey in a vehicle, and using the LL Installations app, you push the "Start Travelling" button, answer the subsequent questions, and submit this information to us, causing your travelling status as displayed by the LL Installations app to change to "You are currently travelling."
"Stop Travelling" means that you have arrived at you destination, and using the LL Installations app, you push the "Stop Travelling" button, answer the subsequent questions, and submit this information to us, causing your travelling status as displayed by the LL Installations app to change to "You are not travelling."
"Currently Travelling" means the time from (and including) the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Start Travelling", up to and including the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Stop Travelling". During this time, if you open the LL Installations app to it's main screen, the app will indicate that "You are currently travelling." Note that you must not open the LL Installations app whilst driving if the use of a phone or other device is forbidden by road laws.
"Not Travelling" means the time from the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Stop Travelling", up to the time that you use the LL Installations app to "Start Travelling". During this time, if you open the LL Installations app to it's main screen, the app will indicate that "You are not travelling." "Not Travelling" also includes the time before the first time that you perform a "Start Travelling".
If we are not currently collecting Travelling data from our employees, then the LL Installations app main screen may omit any references to Travelling, or your current Travelling status. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, this is considered to be the same as "Not Travelling".
We require all employees and subcontractors to comply with privacy laws.
We only collect information that is necessary for one or more of our activities.
When we collect personal information from an individual, we ensure that we do so in a fair manner. We also let the individual know:
the purposes for which the information is being collected
the main consequences (if any) for the individual if all or part of the information is not provided, except to the extent that this is obvious
the fact that the individual can access the information that we hold
any law that requires us to collect the information.
Privacy notices enable our businesses to communicate these matters clearly and consistently wherever we collect personal information.
We will collect personal information directly from the individual concerned whenever practical. However, if we do collect an individual's personal information from a third party, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the individual has been advised of the matters listed above as they apply to both the third party and our own handling of the information.
We may get additional information from or about you in other ways not specifically described here. For example, you might contact us or respond to a survey, or we might get a third-party complaint about you.

Information about vehicle travelling is collected for taxation puropses, and this information may be provided to the Australian Taxation Office.
We will only disclose personal information:
for the purposes for which we have advised that we are collecting it, and for related purposes that could reasonably be expected in the circumstances,
We may disclose information when permitted by law or under the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary under applicable law; to comply with legal process served on LL Installations; to protect the property or interests of LL Installations, its agents, employees and subcontractors; or to protect personal safety or the public.
We will retain such personal information as we deem necessary. This will include the hours an employee or subcontractor has worked, the time and location they started work, a record of their location, as determined by GPS during the time that they are at work, and the time and location they left work.
We will collect information about your physical location, as determined by your phones GPS hardware for the purposes of:
This information, including GPS coordinates and timestamps will be collected and stored by us (but only during the time that you are either "at work" or "travelling") as a part of the records that comprise your timesheet or vehicle logbook. We will not disclose timesheet information to any third party, and will only disclose vehicle logbook information to the Australian Taxation Office where we are required to do so for taxation purposes.
We do not track an employee or subcontractors location, or collect or store any information about an employee or subcontractors location when BOTH of the following conditions are met:
Individuals will be able to access their personal information upon request. However, we may occasionally need to deny access to information where the law expressly allows it (for example, when someone is under investigation for fraud).
We will not provide access to spouses, family members or other third parties unless we are required or permitted by law to do so, or the person involved is under the age of 18, and we are providing the information to that persons parent or adult gaurdian.
We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal data we hold is accurate, complete and up to date, and has been obtained directly from the individual or a reputable third party.
We may change this policy from time to time, and we will post the amended terms on under the Privacy Policy section of the LL Installations app.
